The advice is to anchor at the entrance of the bay, and to stay away from the shore for the safety of swimmers. There is protection from southerly and westerly winds, with sandy bottoms for good holding. An overnight stay is possible in calm conditions.

Sailing east from Kyrenia, the large public, sandy beach named Alagadi Turtle Beach is one of the main sites for loggerhead and green turtles to nest. With views of the mountains behind, it is possible to anchor in the sandy bottom at the entrance of the bay off the large sandy beach. Protected from southerly winds, you can anchor overnight in good weather. Facilities ashore include a beach club, bar, restaurant and WC.

This is another scenic spot, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. You can anchor in the bay, which is protected from southerly winds, on a sandy bottom and stay overnight, weather permitting. There is a beach club, bar, restaurant, and hotel, as well as shower and WC facilities, plus the bay is very close to Kaplica village for provisions. It is strongly recommended to keep a minimum of 2nm from the shore when sailing in the vicinity due to hidden reefs.

Earning some top reviews on Navily, this secluded bay is reported to have good holding in 4m on a sandy bottom. There is protection from the south and north-west. Perfect for snorkeling and swimming with a nice beach, the bay offers peace and quiet, and has no amenities ashore. In calm conditions, you could take an excursion ashore and explore the cape, and also stay overnight.

The 2.5km long Golden Beach, renowned as one of the best on the island, often allows sailors to have a whole beach to themselves, and is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Nearby is the historic Apostolos Andreas Monastery, one of the Karpaz Peninsula’s most popular tourist attractions. Unprotected from easterly winds, you can anchor in the bay in the sandy bottom and stay overnight in good weather. There is a restaurant, bar, market, shower and WC facilities.
