As a community coastal guide<\/strong>, Navily should present you with the best methods to adopt in order to sail in an eco-friendly manner! Yes, we know this word has great hype, we like to use it well but this simply means that it would be much better to add an environmental dimension to our sailing! We therefore have set out for a review of these of these practices to be implemented by the responsible captains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Blue Flag label<\/strong> promotes environmentally friendly marinas. For them, marina environmental protection is a priority. In the ports<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udca7Unfortunately, water will stop flowing soon! We therefore are trying to limit our consumption as much as possible and for that we have several alternatives: you can use small devices like flow restrictors or water stop\u2019s which are small in size, but they enable huge savings! We also thinking of collecting rain water to wash your boat<\/strong> or rinse your equipment !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\uddd1Now let\u2019s tackle the heart of the matter: waste! Yes we know, a bottle or a straw can easily fly away, but when you know the extent of the damage that this can cause, we must do everything in our power to avoid this! Try to place heavy objects systematically to prevent them from flying away for example. And for sorting in ports, let\u2019s keep the specific use of each site in mind: for example, don\u2019t empty your wasted water anywhere else ! \ud83d\ude08<\/p>\n\n\n

During the mooring period<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What makes a mooring appreciated or not is largely due to the environment in which it is located, so if we don\u2019t pay attention to it, we could be the cause of the loss of these beautiful spots that we love so much! So in order to avoid this, we prefer mooring areas based on the bottom of the sea and drop our anchor on a lighter-coloured area of sand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also try to have enough chain length to lift the anchor in line with the boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
