250 million years ago, the ancient Esterel volcano is now a true geological landmark. The massif consists of red rhyolite, a volcanic rock rich in quartz that has dyed the entire coast a fiery red.<\/p><p>Today, the Esterel massif features spectacular landscapes: peaks, domes, and cliffs shaped by millions of years of erosion.
