Heading to the Balearic Islands always promises to be a great trip! The archipelago helps us to think big and to not confine ourselves to one single island, even if Mallorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Menorca have their own outstanding qualities. The sun is back and it makes us want to begin our tour of the best anchorage spots in the Balearic Islands. And long live Spain! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ibiza<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Ibiza is the entertainment capital of the Balearic Islands and we\u2019re not just talking about the all-night parties which enhances its reputation. Let\u2019s take Cala Jondal<\/a> <\/strong>for example. It opens onto a refined landscape and lets the picturesque mountains, turquoise water and fine sand speak for themselves. Leave the deckchairs to the traditional holidaymakers: this anchorage spot offers the luxury of observing everything sheltered from the to and fro of towels and the comings and goings of children enjoying themselves on the beach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cala Talamanca<\/a><\/strong> is disconnected from everyday life. Your boat will be well protected from the wind at Santa Eularia des Riu. Additionally, Salt de Sase<\/a><\/strong> and Sa Caixota<\/a> <\/strong>also deserve special mention. You can voyage towards the unknown by discovering Es Vedra (a Gateway to Atlantis for some).Whilst there is a healthy balance of land and sea at Cala Salada<\/a><\/strong>, there is also s\u2019Espalmador<\/strong><\/a>, two kilometers from a Caribbean style lagoon. Ibiza is electric in every sense of the word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mallorca<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Port Mahon\nand Formentera (these Islands are a must) are separated by almost 150 nautical\nmiles. You will therefore need to plan some trips to start the southern loop of\nthe complete tour of the Balearic Islands. Mallorca has it all. It is the main\nisland of the Balearic Islands, a green and surprising destination far from the\ntourist attractions and a reservoir of charming little ports that deserve to\nremain a secret. Owners who provide boat rental on the Balearic Islands via new\ncollaborative platforms or older services are familiar with these slightly\ndifferent places. Make sure you enquire before renting a catamaran, sailboat or\nmotorboat to cruise around.<\/p>\n\n\n

The list of anchorage spots to recommend in the heart of the Balearic Islands is just as attractive as Iberian tapas or the local specialty, sobresada. Navily users have had no hesitation in recommending Cala Major<\/a>, Illa Gavina<\/a>, Cala Mesquida<\/a>, Sa Punta<\/a><\/strong> and Cala Marmols<\/a><\/strong>, images of which can be found on their websites. Menorca<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Menorca has and always will stand out from the rest of the pack. When time doesn\u2019t seem to have a hold on you, it is because find yourself in a place that must be preserved with great care. A few minutes walking and you are roaming through the medieval streets of Ciudadela. We\u2019re speaking about many different islands, whilst letting the beauty of Cala en Bosc, Punta Blanca, Cala en Brut<\/a>, <\/strong>Saigua Dolca<\/strong><\/a> and Cala Rambles<\/a> <\/strong>speak for themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experiences shared through Navily have also brought Platja de Bellavista to light, which is located in a nature reserve between two peaks. We haven\u2019t yet talked about a traditional fishing village. This can be found at Es Grau, something that can be experienced you pass Port <\/strong><\/a>Mahon<\/a>. <\/strong>If you wish to move the boat (unless you have a skipper) and you don\u2019t want to be \u201ctoo mainstream\u201d, Menorca will serve as your port of reference on the Balearic Islands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
