Clean Sailors x Navily : a partnership for the Ocean
Read in French

Navily is excited to announce their partnership with Clean Sailors, to promote clean sailing practices within its international cruising community.

Through a series of features, content, best practices and top tips for cruisers, Navily and Clean Sailors aim to educate and inspire cruising sailors around the world to help look after our marine ecosystem. .

A partnership for the Ocean

Cleansailors x Navily : partnership for the Ocean

The partnership builds on Navily’s collaboration with ‘Peoples of the Sea’, an educational series with the citizen NGO, teaching Navily’s sailing community about different species of cetacean.

Edouard Fiess, founder of Navily says:

‘’ Our sailing community is now more than half a million strong and as a major actor in the nautical industry, we believe we have a role in educating sailors to more eco-friendly practices. Partnering with Clean Sailors seemed natural for achieving our goals as they have developed a comprehensive and digital friendly approach to their awareness-raising efforts. We are very excited to start this new blog-series, and believe it will help make a difference in achieving our common goal : make the boating industry more eco-friendly.”

Holly Manvell, Founder of Clean Sailors commented:

“We are super excited to call Team Navily partners and supporters of Clean Sailors. As the biggest international cruising community, Navily really recognises the role and responsibility they, we, have in helping our global boating community to protect our waters. On behalf of our whole Clean Sailors crew – welcome, Navily! ’’

Launched in July 2020, Clean Sailors’ mission is to set a new standard of cleaner sailing within the global sailing community. Their work includes campaigning for legislation to better protect our oceans, education, advice and outreach on conservation opportunities within the sailing and marine communities, and sharing scientific research on issues facing our global waters.

In July 2021, Clean Sailors launched Cleaner Marina with industry partners including boatfolk, MDL Marinas, savvy navvy and Ecoworks Marine, to encourage better, cleaner standards across marinas, ports and harbours, globally.

In 2021, Clean Sailors launched Cleaner Marina with industry partners including boatfolk, MDL Marinas, savvy navvy and Ecoworks Marine, to encourage better, cleaner standards across marinas, ports and harbours, globally.

In January 2022, Clean Sailors announced the launch of the Clean Sailors Youth Racing Team with three international Champion sailors; CJ Perez (18) the youngest sailor ever to join the SailGP league and the first latina, Lukas Hesse (22), German Champion 2020 and Swiss sailor Jan Schüpbach (20). 2022 will see the exceptional young champions compete together in the Persico 69F, at the very highest standard of foiling and as ambassadors for cleaner, healthier seas and a cleaner sailing industry.
