Boat Trip #1: Corsica

11 October 2018

Do you have the urge to travel and to discover Corsica by sea? With Navily, we have done some research for you and here is our guide to your next boating voyage to Corsica! The recipe is simple: we have slightly changed the style of the photos, we have put the sea at the forefront of the whole adventure and off we go! First, we’ll take you to northern Corsica.

Come with us, let’s go!

Sailing in northern Corsica

Corsica offers the perfect holiday experience for all. From Cap Corse, in the north of Corsica, you could admire the magnificent sunsets and discover the heavenly beaches. On the gentle hills of Patrimonio lies the Corsican wine-growing region. Here you will have plenty of opportunities to discover the culture and history of this island!

The name Corsican Wine AOP Calvi includes the wines of Balagna, in North-Corsica. You can enjoy your wine-tourism stroll from a vine and sea viewpoint, just superb. The dominant grape varieties for red wines are necessarily typical grape varieties.  Niellucciu and Scaccarellu!

Corsica’s northern ports are incredibly authentic and beautiful. Thanks to Navily, you can easily reserve your next port of call in the port of your choice, for example in the port Eugène Ceccaldi. Located in the town of Lumio, at the heart of the Sant’Ambroggio marina, the Port de Plaisance Eugène CECCALDI is halfway between Calvi and Ile Rousse, the perfect location to continue your boat trip!

Île Rousse

Île Rousse:  a popular seaside resort in northern Corsica with beautiful fine sandy beaches, Île Rousse is a lively town where life is good! The old town is worth a walk! Stroll through their pleasant streets which lead to the seaside and stop for coffee in Paoli Square which has plenty of plane trees. In the twenty-one column covered market you can taste the local Corsican specialties!

At Île Rousse, it feels like a there is a holiday atmosphere. Take your time, enjoy it!
