Fabrice

29 November 2018

Fabrice, where are you from ?

I was born in Paris and I lived half of my life in the Parisian region. The dullness and monotony of the suburb quickly pushed me to find the ideal place to live well. Attracted by the sea, I came to live in Nice where I have quickly discovered a passion for sailing. Today, 25 years later, I live on my sailboat and nothing in the world would make me go back to an apartment.

Pleasure is only worthwhile when it is shared

An anecdote about you relating the sea or the boat ?

Rade de Villefranche, one Sunday afternoon I leave the anchor to travel a few miles which separate me from my home port. The wind rises, the sea forms in just a few minutes. I prepare to lower the sail when I hear an unusual noise coming from the chain on the front of the boat. It’s the anchor!!! The anchor jumped out from its davit and the entire length of the chain unraveled. There was nothing I could do, it was impossible to hold it up. Between the waves and the anchor, the boat stops clean. The only solution: cut the anchor. The anchor goes to the bottom of the sea the boat is free again. I no longer have an anchor line but I can return to the report without any difficulties…

How does it feel to be part of Navily ?

My two passions are combined in my job, a very nice atmosphere and team. I couldn’t have dreamt it better !
